Why is A-Rent different?

We offer the youngest fleet of rental equipment in the electrical testing industry. You can be confident about smooth field performance because our equipment is functionally tested on specimen apparatus here at our shop before every rental.


How does rental work?

We offer daily and monthly rates. There is a three-day minimum for all rentals. The rental period starts the day the customer receives the equipment and ends when the equipment is returned to A-Rent. The rental price for equipment will depend on the piece of equipment and duration of the rental. We offer discounted rates for long-term rentals/leases with rent-to-own options.


How do I set up an account?

Your firm probably already has an account established with A-Rent. If not, our set-up process is quick to establish net 30 terms with your PO. We’ll advise about account status when responding to your quote request.


What are delivery options?

Our large inventory is available for same-day shipping and pick-up at our Chicago and Houston locations. We offer an array of shipping options to meet our customers’ needs including ground, express and LTL freight. For the most urgent needs, we can ship SWA Cargo from the nearby MDW or HOU airports, often for same-day delivery nationwide. Local van delivery and customer pick up at our locations are also options. Shipping costs are provided with every quote. We’ve solved seemingly impossible logistical challenges for other customers, please bring us yours.


Can I pay with a credit card?

Yes, individuals or companies can pay using a credit card. Domestic credit cards will be assessed a 3% transaction fee and international credit cards will be assessed a 5% transaction fee.


Do you provide technical support?

Yes. If you are having difficulty using one of our pieces of equipment, or need technical help with set-up or reporting, one of our engineers will assist you in getting your questions answered.


Is your equipment calibrated?

Yes, all equipment is calibrated in accordance to industry standards with NIST traceability. We provide calibration certificates with every rental.


Do you sell equipment?

Rental is our primary business, and we also support customers with sales of new and used test equipment from our fleet. If you are interested in purchasing a piece of equipment that is on rent, we will quote you a buyout price.


I need something I don’t see on your website

We have relationships with a vast network of test equipment OEMs and resellers, both domestically and internationally. Let us know what your requirements are, and we will see if we can source it for you.


What if equipment is damaged or lost?

Any equipment that is received damaged or incomplete must be reported to A-Rent immediately. The customer is responsible for any damage or loss that occurs to the equipment or accessories during the rental period.

We have two convenient locations in the Chicago area (Burr Ridge, IL) and Houston. We ship equipment and support customers nationwide and internationally.
